Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how CurbMark ("CurbMark," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with the CurbMark website and renovation cost estimator tool (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Estimate inputs (project type, ZIP code, scope, home age, tier) are not sent to us or stored on our servers.
The cost estimator runs entirely in your browser. When you pick a project type, enter a ZIP code, or adjust any option, that information stays on your device — it is used only to calculate the range shown to you. If you use the "Copy share link" feature, the selections you made are encoded directly into the URL itself (not stored on a server), and only travel further if you choose to send that link to someone.
Waitlist signups.
If you join the Free, Plus, or Pro waitlist, we collect the email address you provide and which tier you expressed interest in, along with the date and time you signed up. We use this solely to notify you when the relevant tier becomes available and to understand demand between tiers. We do not currently ask for your name, phone number, address, or any other personal information to join the waitlist.
Automatically collected information.
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for security and reliability purposes — things like IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and timestamps of requests. We do not currently use this data for analytics, advertising, or profiling, and we do not currently set cookies or use tracking pixels beyond what is strictly necessary to serve the page.
If we add analytics, cookies, or similar tracking in the future (for example, to understand which project types are most popular), we will update this policy before doing so and, where required by law, seek your consent.
2. How we use information
- To notify you when the tier you signed up for becomes available.
- To understand aggregate interest across Free, Plus, and Pro so we can prioritize what to build.
- To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these limited circumstances:
- Service providers. Our hosting provider processes data as part of running the Service (for example, storing waitlist signups on our servers). We choose providers that are contractually required to protect your data.
- Affiliate links. The Service includes links to third-party retailers (for example, materials shopping links). Clicking those links takes you to a third-party site with its own privacy practices, which we don't control. We may earn a commission on purchases made through these links — see our Terms of Service for details. We do not share your waitlist email or estimate inputs with these retailers.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CurbMark, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If CurbMark is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, waitlist information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy (or a policy at least as protective).
4. Data retention
We keep waitlist signup information until the relevant tier launches and you've had a reasonable opportunity to be notified, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If CurbMark introduces user accounts in the future, this policy will be updated to describe how account data is retained.
5. Your rights and choices
Regardless of where you live, you can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what information we have about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your information (for example, remove you from the waitlist).
- Opt out of any future email communications.
To do any of these, email us at the address in the "Contact" section below. We'll respond within a reasonable time.
California residents:the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you the rights above, plus the right to non-discrimination for exercising them. We do not sell or "share" (as that term is defined under CCPA) personal information.
Connecticut residents: the Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA) gives you similar rights of access, correction, deletion, and portability, which you can exercise the same way, by emailing us.
We are a small, early-stage service and aim to honor privacy requests from any state consistently, even where a specific state law might not strictly require it.
6. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information in our control. No method of storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International and geographic scope
The Service is intended for use within the United States. If you access it from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We do not currently design the Service to meet requirements outside the U.S. (for example, the EU General Data Protection Regulation).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service evolves — for example, when we introduce paid accounts, analytics, or new features. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify waitlist members by email.
10. Contact
Questions, requests, or concerns about this policy or your information can be sent to hello@curbmark.app.
